or decades, Fox Lake Lodge
has served as a holiday destination for nature lovers,
canoeists, hikers, anglers and those simply searching
for the ultimate natural retreat in the
Northern Ontario
wilderness. Located northwest of Sudbury, Ontario, this
natural paradise has the facilities to pamper you whether
it is for your nature getaway, wilderness wedding, educational
workshop, corporate retreat or start, middle, or end of your
exciting Spanish River canoe trip, guided ATV tour or biking adventure.
Fox Lake Lodge takes pride in
offering a simpler lifestyle that compliments the rugged
beauty of the Canadian Shield and strives to offer a multitude
of nature-based activities that will enhance its
guests' appreciation for the environment and
encourage healthy living and exploration.
Care and concern for the environment are of utmost importance
as our business is highly dependent on the natural resources
generously provided by the earth and the natural integrity of our
surrounding ecosystems.
Well-mapped hiking and biking trails are
continually being expanded and upgraded.
Fox Lake Lodge operates 'off the grid.' It is not connected
to any form of hydroelectric system. Solar panels and a
wind generator power our radiophone and small appliances and
of course, during the winter, firewood is our best friend.
Our guests stay in attractive rustic log cabin accommodations,
each with its own view of Fox Lake. Propane lighting and appliances
allow our guests to experience a simpler lifestyle. Cabins
do have indoor plumbing and hot and cold running water, which
is considered a luxury in these parts!
Your
stay with us will allow you to return to basics, rebalance and
become in tune with nature.
We also specialize in canoe tripping
and touring on the Spanish River.
